A Spot of Blue features 13 original tracks showcasing the ensemble work of the group. Bandleader/arranger/composer Brent Irwin shines the spotlight on the horn section with swing, Latin, African and Asian influences. The styles are varied and offer an eclectic collection of tunes with a multitude of emotions and moods. Band members include Brent Irwin on trumpet, Jeff Chang on alto/baritone sax, Clif Swiggett on trombone, Ken Kassover on piano, John Giuliani on bass and Dave Hoskin on drums.
